Colorado Springs, CO, September 26, 2011 – Adapta Medical, Inc., a Colorado Springs based developer and manufacturer of urinary catheterization systems, has announced today the filing of a number of additional provisional patent applications in the United States. This is part of its ongoing focus on “Improving the Catheter ExperienceTM”, especially for those who perform self- catheterization. The provisional patents, filed the week of September 18, 2011, further strengthen the company’s intellectual property portfolio, which includes issued and pending patents on both intermittent and indwelling catheters. Dr. Glen House, Chief Executive Officer, Adapta founder, and inventor on the provisional patent applications, said “Adapta Medical is uniquely positioned to understand and appreciate the challenges faced by those who catheterize, and to commit our resources to developing, manufacturing, and marketing product solutions for the user. Expansion of our intellectual property base assures users that we will continue to place their needs first.”
